“I do not like schools. However the singularity of the ECAL suits me: its pedagogy is heteroclite and porous, it tackles all fronts, handles the media with wonder and ignores the reduced territories in which schools are locked up. Its policy of infiltration makes the ECAL visible everywhere, from the New York MoMa to the Shanghai MoCA, from the London Design Museum to the numerous galeries and international design fairs...

Its policy of infiltration makes the ECAL visible everywhere, from the New York MoMa to the Shanghai MoCA, from the London Design Museum to the numerous galeries and international design fairs. In a few years under the leadership of it’s director Pierre Keller and Alexis Georgacopoulos, head of industrial design Department, this small swiss school showed that it made fun of prejudice, that it became much more than a simple outsider.
