BRETAGNE – FRANCE
The Champs Libres, FRAC of Brittany, and the Brittany parliament will simultaneously present creations by internationally renowned designer duo Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec from the 25th March until 28th August.
Four diverse exhibitions of the Bouroullec’s work are currently on show in Rennes. A retrospective of their industrial works is on show at the FRAC of Brittany (Regional Fund for Contemporary Art) accompanied by an installation consisting of 17 screens. The french designers present 17 various partition systems composed of aluminium, textile, glass or ceramic, that suggest a new way of arranging, and dividing a space.
In the Champs Libres, the Bouroullec brothers exhibit their ‘Urban Dreams’; research pieces and previously unseen projects for the public urban planning of tomorrow. These dreams are presented in the form of maquettes, drawings, but also prototypes. The Bouroullec brothers invite us to reflect upon the public space and the arrangement of our cities.
