The designer’s lamps were among his first pieces, already affirming the refined style that would characterise his future work.

Using his engineering skills, Buffet creates pieces that are pure and innovative in their functionality, such as his lights that are both light emitters and receivers.

“Most of Michel Buffet’s luminaires incorporate a source and a reflector, they are both objects of pure and seductive form and emitters of a light that is itself an immaterial sculpture. They are] like films in the cinema, works of art that are visible in their own light.”
