The exhibition unfolds across eight office environments, each built around the desk as the central figure of the workspace. Seating, lighting, mirrors, and drawings complete these arrangements, shaping different interpretations of this everyday setting.
The Office considers the desk as an intimate and creative space, where work and reflection take place. Within these interiors, diverse pieces from the gallery’s collection appear side by side, bringing together contemporary creations and historic design.
Contemporary works include designs by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, Guillaume Bardet, Ronan Bouroullec, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Andrea Branzi, Marco Campardo, Pierre Charpin, David Dubois, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, Konstantin Grcic, Hella Jongerius, Alessandro Mendini, Jasper Morrison and Marc Newson. Vintage design is represented by Roger Capron, Tom Dixon, Robert Mathieu, Angelo Mangiarotti, George Nelson & Associates, Pierre Paulin, Ernest Race and Gino Sarfatti.
Through a variety of atmospheres, The Office offers a multifaceted view of the workspace, inviting us to see the desk not only as a functional object but as a living space in its own right.
