ARP (Atelier de Recherche Plastique)

Created in October 1954, ARP was the ephemeral association of three great French designers: Michel Mortier, Joseph-André Motte and Pierre Guariche. Together, these designers created innovative furniture, both technically and stylistically. Their seatings were produced by Steiner, notably the “Tonneau” chair designed by Guariche and the “Corb” armchair by Motte; the furniture, including the famous storage units designed after a prototype by Mortier, was made by Minivelle; the luminous coffee table was produced by Disderot and the “Radar” armchair by Airborne...
