Lukas-Darian’s animation turns the spotlight on Hella Jongerius’s Gemstone table.
Layered like strata, the table evokes the luminous density of a cut gem. Its stacked, rounded surfaces—finished in forest green, pale blue-grey, and deep teal—appear to float just above one another, playing with colour, weight, and perception.
A quiet testament to Jongerius’s ongoing investigation into how colour and material inform the way we see—and feel—objects.
